Limiting LGBT Chars on DARP

First off, I want to lay down a rule, since this is my wiki:

--things said in this discussion will have no effect on the user's standing on DARP. That is, the user will not be punished there for what is said here.

All users are encouraged to participate in this discussion.

It isn't folded into the 'exotic' category, Liss. There are up to four 'exotic' chars and separately up to four LGBT chars. No overlap. And if the objection is that the limit is the same as the 'exotic', then perhaps we can talk about raising it, say to five, since not everyone will use their 'allowance', it still won't ever be a majority of chars.

Oh for fuck's sake.

Suggest, Jisk. Suggest. Yes, I agree it shouldn't be in the majority of characters department, but do you really think it's fair to force it? Maybe cisgender should be limited, then?

Not familiar with 'cisgender'. If the suggestion is ignored, what happens? A wiki has to have rules, Liss, otherwise anarchy.

Wait.

I know a word you don't know?

Hell must have frozen over. Holy Crap.

Cisgender are those who's mental gender fits with their physical gender, which includes sexual and romantic attraction.

If the suggestion is ignored, nothing happens. That's like saying the typical homophobic argument "if we let gays get married, it'll make other people gay"

If people don't want to make a majority of non-lgbt characters, allowing it won't change their god damn mind.

I was speaking of the domino effect of ignored suggestions, Liss, not specifically the LGBT one. Once we have suggestions instead of rules, it never stops.

'Cisgender' is a fascinating term, by the way. Thank you. :)

So you're saying right now if we don't force a majority of non lgbt characters, it'll give people reason to rebel against other things we suggest?

So if I were to say we suggest you don't make a majority of lgbt and someone ignored that suggestion, someone else would say "oh I guess this means I don't have to follow that suggestion of no more than ten characters!"

With all due respect, do you know how ridiculous that sounds?

Jisk, lgbt rights is a controversial topic, our other suggestions, those aren't.

Yeah, okay, I didn't actually read all that, but if it makes you stay, Jisk, I'll gladly un-gay some of my chars.

Thanks to your blog on DARP, Jay, I've been compared to Vladimir Putin. That doesn't go away.
